THE IDOLMASTER.KR presents the Real Girls Project Debut Team!

Focusing on the story of the growth and development of a group of trainees that dream of becoming idols, THE IDOLM@STER.KR (script by Shin Hyemi, Won Youngsil / directed by Park Chanyool / produced by IMX) introduces the genius producer Sung Hoon (Sinhyeok Kang) and entertainment agency president Park Chul-Min (President Min-Chul Shim)alongside 11 trainees. Among those trainees is the Debut Team, all but used to the spirit of competition.

In the drama, Youngjoo, Sori, Yukika, Jane, and Taeri’s debut was right in front of their nose when their agency suddenly went belly up. Looking out for them in a time of crisis, the mysterious President Shim (Park Chul-min)starts 825 Entertainment and recruitsSinhyeok Kang (Sung Hoon) as the producer, all so that the girls can follow their dreams of debuting.

Youngjoo, the leader of the group, has been a trainee for 10 whole years. While she lives up to her reputation of having a gorgeous face and good voice, every year she slips further away from her debut. Youngjoo’s elegant voice is a part of reality, as she used to be a part of the vocal group The Seeya, and her several years of training has refined her dancing skills as well, leaving fans excited to see her skills on screen.

The oldest member on the team, consequently nicknamed the “living fossil”, is Sori. Soriisthe “mom-like” member of the group, both empathetic and encouraging. One half of the duo CocoSori, Sori actively spreads the word about THE IDOLM@STER through her cosplay videos on Youtube.

Coming from Japan, Yukika is the Debut Team’s source of energy thanks to her bright, angelic smile. Before joining THE IDOLM@STER.KR, Yukika was a magazine model, voice actress, and actress back home. It’s a toss-up to see which side of herself she’ll show April 28.

Jane is the youngest, bringing the average age of the group down quite a bit. She may be the youngest, but she isn’t called the genius dancer for nothing, thanks to her past experience as a member of the girl group The Ark. She is the master at drawing attention to the Debut Team’s performances.

Last, but not least, is Taeri. She has always dreamed of being a celebrity, thanks to her famous older brother, and takes on the challenge of becoming an idol. But being an idol isn’t easy, and Taeri highlights a reality in the world of trainees when faced with a dieting problem. TaewooJeongeven makes an appearance in THE IDOLM@STER.KR in support of his younger sister, catching the eyes of a broader audience,

Meeting President Shim in the midst of a hopeless situation, the five have the opportunity to go after their dreams once more. All will be watching to see who will ultimately become idols, and since the Debut Team all has real-world experience, fans will have to wait and see what message the girls will send through the drama.

THE IDOLM@STER.KR is a live-action version of Bandai Namco’s popular game series THE IDOLM@STER, garnering interest even while in production. No love or tragedy here—The drama focuses on the girls’ personal growth as they go towards their dreams, giving viewers hope.

THE IDOLM@STER.KR will air once a week starting Friday, April 28 at 6:30 PM on SBS funE, and also play Fridays at 11:00PM on SBS Plus and Sundays at 11:00 AM on SBS MTV for 24 consecutive weeks.
