Real Girls Project (R.G.P), the girl group appearing in the drama THE IDOLM@STER.KR, has created their first sub-unit, B-side. B-side is set to release a Korean remake of the original game series' theme song and start promotions this upcoming week.

THE IDOLM@STER.KR is a live-action drama version of the popular Japanese game THE IDOLM@STER, which centers around the story of a group of trainees who dream of becoming idols. It is the first Korean drama selected to air as part of Amazon Original Series and will air on SBS funE, SBS Plus, and SBS MTV starting April 28th of this year.

Forming just ahead of THE IDOLM@STER.KR's air date, Real Girl Project members Sori, Yukika, Jiwon, Yeeun, and Jiseul make up sub-unit B-side. Their take on iDOLM@STER.KR, the Korean version of the IDOLM@STER game series' theme song, releases Friday, March 31.

Inspired by the way artists of past generations utilized the B side of a record, B-Side's THE iDOLM@STER captures the game's original melody and character choreography with a twist. In the Korean version, though there are new lyrics, the drama's themes of courage and chasing dreams remain intact. The drama's OST is set to be released at the drama's completion.

Since THE IDOLM@STER series' release in 2005, it has consistently kept up its fandom for the past 12 years, leading to the creation of mini-albums, singles, full albums, sub-unit albums, and collections, totaling up to almost 300 songs. Additionally, for the series 10th anniversary in 2015, a 2-day live viewing of a voice-dubbing concert held in Japan drew in crowds of tens of thousands of fans.

Announcing songs "Dream" and "One For All" last year, Real Girls Project is steadily preparing for the drama's air date, as the formation of the sub-unit inherits the traditions of THE IDOLM@STER series. People are paying attention to see whether this sub-unit can catch the eye of global fans.

Real Girls Project's sub-unit B-side will simultaneously release the music video, revealing a preview of the drama's image, along with the song on March 31. The sub-unit will also appear on music programs.

'THE IDOLM@STER.KR' is the story of a group of trainees that dream of becoming idols, and it will air once a week for 24 consecutive weeks starting Friday, April 28th on SBS funE at 6:30 PM, SBS Plus at 11:00 PM, and April 30 on SBS MTV at 11 AM.
